A great read has lots of potential in character and absolutely love the art style too
I normally don’t read comic books, but this caught my eye after seeing an ad for it on social media. It caught my eye because I recently moved to Detroit and saw that it took place there. I also appreciate your commitment to a comic based on Christian teachings. I’m looking forward to your future comics that’ll hopefully flesh out the story of Henry Hunt and his role as “The Warden”.
I was instantly hooked by the story in just the first few pages. It was so compelling I couldn't put it down. The story feels exactly how the genesis of a superhero ought to be - and it was done well. It feels nostalgic, yet fresh. The illustrations are superb. I cannot wait to see what is next in store for the Warden and its universe!
Can’t recommend the work at IronClad Comics
enough.
In an hour of darkness light will rise from the most unexpected of places. Their superheroes reflect this truth.
Epic stories. Epic heroes.
The Warden is a breath of fresh air in the world of comics. It hooks you very well and leaves your eyes hungry for what’s next. Its unapologetic ties to religion and Christianity are unparalleled in modern comics. Can't wait for Part 2!
Henry Hunt, a Detroit prison guard born with extraordinary abilities, leads a life of purposelessness and mediocrity, tortured by the very abilities he possesses. One day he is finally fed up with this half-life and decides to take control, to protect his city from its crime and corruption. He dons a costume and becomes the elusive vigilante known as THE WARDEN. However, being a vigilante brings forth a new set of problems, as he is pursued by Emma Summers, a relentless investigative journalist eager to make a name for herself as well as Detective Matthew Cabello, believing Henry to be a public menace and criminal that belongs behind bars. Can Henry prove to a cynical world that he is the hero he presents himself to be, can someone so truly selfless and righteous actually exist in this world, and can society accept him?
