The Warden Part 1
The Warden Part 1
A great read has lots of potential in character and absolutely love the art style too
I normally don’t read comic books, but this caught my eye after seeing an ad for it on social media. It caught my eye because I recently moved to Detroit and saw that it took place there. I also appreciate your commitment to a comic based on Christian teachings. I’m looking forward to your future comics that’ll hopefully flesh out the story of Henry Hunt and his role as “The Warden”.
I was instantly hooked by the story in just the first few pages. It was so compelling I couldn't put it down. The story feels exactly how the genesis of a superhero ought to be - and it was done well. It feels nostalgic, yet fresh. The illustrations are superb. I cannot wait to see what is next in store for the Warden and its universe!
Can’t recommend the work at IronClad Comics
enough.
In an hour of darkness light will rise from the most unexpected of places. Their superheroes reflect this truth.
Epic stories. Epic heroes.
The Warden is a breath of fresh air in the world of comics. It hooks you very well and leaves your eyes hungry for what’s next. Its unapologetic ties to religion and Christianity are unparalleled in modern comics. Can't wait for Part 2!
Henry Hunt, a prison guard born with extraordinary abilities leads a life of purposelessness and mediocrity, tortured by the very abilities he possesses. However, he is finally fed up with this half-life and decides to take control, to make his city a better place, using his abilities for good. He dawns a costume and becomes the elusive vigilante known as The Warden. Henry’s problems are not solved though as he is pursued by an ambitious reporter anxious to make a name for himself as well as a police detective wanting to bring him to justice. Things get even worse for our vigilante has two mysterious agents from an unknown organization come into the mix that will stop at nothing to bring him down. Can Henry prove to a cynical world that he is the hero he claims, can someone so truly selfless and righteous truly exist, and can society accept him?
